Claim up to £1000 cash back when replacing your gas boiler

The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) went live on 9 June. This is the latest UK Government scheme to reward homeowners who install energy efficiency measures in their homes.

You can claim up to £1000 cash back when you install two measures from the qualifying list below:
•    Condensing gas boiler (on mains gas)
•    Flue gas heat recovery units
•    Double glazing (replacing single glazing)
•    Secondary glazing
•    Replacement doors
•    Cavity wall insulation
•    Floor insulation
•    Flat roof insulation
•    Room-in-roof insulation
•    Replacement warm air unit
•    Replacement fan assisted storage heaters
•    Waste water heat recovery systems

High efficiency gas boilers
Plumb-Line works closely with leading boiler manufacturers to install high quality energy efficient central heating boilers. These include Vaillant and Johnson & Starley.

If you’re thinking of replacing your old, inefficient mains gas boiler, then replacing it with a boiler such as the Vaillant ecoTEC plus boiler
along with a passive flue gas heat recovery device, such as Vaillant’s recoFLUE could entitle you up to £1000 cash back.
Alternatively the Quantec HR28C boiler from Johnson & Starley has passive flue gas recovery technology built in. This increases energy efficiency and counts for two GDHIF measures in the list above, which could entitle you to £1000 cash back.

Also, if you have bought a property in the 12 months prior to application, you could qualify for up to an additional £500.

You can also get up to £100 refunded for your Green Deal Assessment.

Are you eligible?
To be eligible you must have the improvements recommended on an eligible Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), less than 24 months old, or a Green Deal Assessment Report.

If you are a landlord or tenant, you can apply for the scheme provided you are paying for the improvements yourself.

Call us on 01604 644500 to arrange your Green Deal Assessment or EPC, or for advice on how to make your home more energy efficient.

Note: If the installation of the chosen two measure totals less than £1,000, the Government scheme will refund up to the amount you have paid for the installation only. As part of the scheme you could choose to install internal or external wall insulation, or two other eligible improvements. For customers choosing to install internal or external solid wall insulation, up to 75% of the total installation costs will be reimbursed up to a maximum of £6,000.
