Plumb-Line is sponsor at Young Enterprise Awards

Plumb-Line sponsored the Environmental Award at the East Midlands final of the Young Enterprise Company Programme, which was presented recently at Nottingham University Business School.

The Young Enterprise Company Programme involved more than 120 teams and 1,500 teenagers in the East Midlands. Each team ran a real business for a year under the guidance of a business adviser and a link teacher.

There were five finalists at the awards who had each won their respective county final. Each company had to submit a company report, be interviewed by a panel of judges and then give a presentation at the awards event.

David Hart of Plumb-Line presented the trophy for the Environmental Award to Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Derbyshire. Its company, Verde, won the award for its innovative wrapping paper which eliminates the need for fastening tape.

Adrian Brown, Managing Director of Plumb-Line, said: “We are delighted to be involved with Young Enterprise as it provides valuable help in preparing young people for the world of work. We support apprentices in our business and the Environmental Award was appropriate to us as we provide low carbon, renewable and energy efficient heating solutions.”
