Gas Safe
The Gas Safe Register is the only official list of gas engineers legally able to perform gas work on boilers, hobs, ovens, fires and all other gas appliances. All of our engineers are Gas Safe Registered and are happy to show you their ID card to prove it. Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain in 2009. A Gas Safe registered engineer has been checked to make sure they are competent and qualified to work safely and legally with gas.
NICEIC
NICEIC is the UK electrical contracting industry’s independent voluntary body. It has been assessing the technical competence of electricians for over 50 years and maintains a register of qualified, competent electricians. The NICEIC looks at a representative sample of the contractor’s work, their premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of their key supervisory staff. Once contractors become registered with NICEIC, they are re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards.
OFTEC
OFTEC is the technical and marketing body for the oil-fired heating industry, and every OFTEC Registered Technician must hold a current certificate of assessed competence issued by a UKAS Accredited Certification Body for OFTEC Assessments.
TrustMark
TrustMark is a government-endorsed quality scheme to enhance levels of consumer protection in a range of industries. Plumb-Line has been independently assessed to ensure that we meet the operating requirements, code of conduct and customer charter to deliver a high-quality service to customers. Only companies with the TrustMark accreditation are qualified to carry out work on specific Government-funded schemes.
Plumb-line has been registered for the following trades by our TrustMark scheme provider, NICEIC: heating engineers, electricians, plumbers, air source & hybrid heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, heating & hot water controls, gas engineers, gas-fired condensing boiler installers, biomass boiler installers, solar panel installers, bathroom specialists, kitchen specialists.
PAS2030:2019
PAS2030:2019 sets out the requirements that all installers must follow to ensure that the installation of energy efficiency measures is completed properly. It is the standard required for government schemes such as ECO, the Green Homes Grant and First-Time Central Heating. PAS2030:2019 addresses all areas including installation controls, equipment inspections, handover and correction action procedures.
MCS
Plumb-Line is accredited by MCS, (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme for small scale generation of renewable energy. This certification gives us a mark of competency and demonstrates that we can install to the highest quality every time. It demonstrates that we are committed to meeting rigorous and testing standards. The company has been assessed for the supply, design, installation, set-to-work and commissioning of renewable microgeneration technologies. To take advantage of government funding for renewable energy you must ensure that the product and the installer are both MCS certified.
Renewable Energy Consumer Code
Plumb-Line is a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. The aim of the scheme is to ensure that consumers who wish to install a small-scale heat or power generation unit for their home can be confident in making an informed choice from suppliers with the necessarily high service standards. As a member, we agree to comply with the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, which is backed by the Trading Standards Institute as part of its self-regulation initiative, the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. The Code reflects Plumb-Line’s business ethics and dedication to customer service, providing clear information to customers and behaving in a safe and environmentally responsible way.
IWA
Plumb-Line is a member of IWA, which provides an insurance-backed guarantee to protect your investment. It offers protection of your warranty in the event of a company ceasing to trade.
Safe Contractor
Plumb-Line has been awarded accreditation from safecontractor for our commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety. The safecontractor accreditation recognises high standards in health and safety and demonstrates that we have sound health and safety policies in place.
Constructionline
Constructionline is the UK’s largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants in the construction industry.
APHC
The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) is the leading trade association for the plumbing and heating industry in England and Wales. It operates a licensed plumber scheme to ensure consumer protection. All members of the association are reliable, established businesses that employ fully trained staff and are committed to high levels of customer service. Each member undertakes an annual assessment to ensure they are meeting the strict business standards. Part of these standards is to hold and operate an approved customer complaints system.
